> setting up PAW for iTunes

It's been a while since Malaysia famous local ISP started to block P2P services. The blocking not just affect illegal download, but it also affected legal one. For instance, iTunes Music Store (iTMS). WTF?! Yeah, as much complain as we can make, the issue remain unsolve. Most user will get this welcom message soon after they try to connect to iTMS:

error

Yes, it's terrible. But lucky for some of us, we found a sort of work-around for this.

What do you need:
• Up to date iTunes (not a must but I've test only on 7.x)
download PAW (it's free)
• internet connection (ofcourse...)

Setting up PAW:
Once the download completed, un-archive the compressed file. You should get a new folder name "paw". Browse inside and look for these two files:
paw

Double-click on "paw-server.jar", and then "paw-gui.jar".

Once "paw-gui.jar" loaded, you will see a application menu:

paw2

Now, expand the "Filter" on left panel, click on "header-request". You should get some text on the right panel. Then, remove the hash ("#") from the line under "#Mask as Microsoft IE 6.0". Repeat for "IE 5.5" as well. Here's what it should looks like:

paw3

Once done, remember to save the changes by click the green disk icon.
paw4

We're done on PAW. Leave it running.

Setting up your Mac:
1)  Launch System Preferences.
2)  Click on Network, select you current internet port, in my case it's Ehternet, then click on Proxies tab.
3)  Click on Web Proxy (HTTP) and insert "127.0.0.1 : 8080".
4)  Click on Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS) and insert "127.0.0.1 : 8080".

sys

5)  Click Apply and we're done.

Start your iTunes and try to connect to iTMS, it should work. But there's no 100% guarantee this will work for everyone. To make sure you did the right thing, check PAW. Click on the eyeball icon. The log should show there's connection being started. Goodluck.

Does my guide works for you? do let me know
